Can I wear my jewellery every day?

Absolutely, but with care and intention. Our fine jewellery is created to be lived in, loved, and worn through the chapters of your life. That said, gold and gemstones deserve gentleness. We recommend removing your pieces during strenuous activity, swimming, or heavy lifting to protect the integrity of the metal and stones, especially delicate pavé and ultra-fine designs.

How should I care for my jewellery?

Treat your jewels as you would a treasured silk garment or a handwritten love letter, with tenderness. Clean gently with warm water, mild soap and a soft brush, and store pieces separately in their pouches to avoid scratches. A little care ensures a lifetime of brilliance.

Can I shower or sleep with my jewellery on?

While gold is resilient, every piece deserves a moment to rest. We advise removing jewellery during showering, sleeping, gym sessions, and swimming to preserve the lustre of the metal and the security of the stones. Fine jewellery shines brightest when cherished intentionally.

How often should I clean my ring?

A gentle clean every one to two weeks will keep your ring sparkling beautifully. For deeper professional care, we welcome you for a polishing, rhodium plating for white gold pieces and inspection at a minimal fee. A ritual we encourage at least once every six months to a year to ensure your piece stays perfect. 

Why is my ring band scratching?

Gold, even in its most durable karat, is a precious metal and will show signs of love and life over time. Hairline scratches are natural, they tell the story of chapters lived. Polishing can restore a smooth finish when desired.

Can I bring an heirloom stone?

Absolutely, we honour heirlooms with reverence. Resetting your cherished stone into a new masterpiece allows history and modern love to coexist. We will inspect your stone to ensure it’s secure, then design around its beauty and meaning.

How long does a custom ring take?

Custom pieces typically require 4–8 weeks, depending on complexity and stone sourcing. Perfection takes time, and your forever deserves patience.

Can I customise existing Bezel & Bay designs?

Yes, our collections are living canvases. You may adjust metal, stone type, stone size, or certain design elements to make the piece distinctly yours.

Do I need to know exactly what I want?

Not at all. Many clients simply bring a feeling, a memory, or a love story. We translate emotion into metal and stone, that is the Bezel & Bay way.

Do your diamonds come with certification?

Yes, all diamonds above 0.30ct are certified by internationally recognised laboratories such as GIA or IGI. Because true brilliance deserves proof.

What if I don’t know which stone shape suits me?

We’ll explore options together, from the timeless round to the romantic oval, the old-world charm of old mine cuts, and the bold geometry of emerald cuts. Each shape tells a story; we help you find yours.

Are coloured gemstones a good choice for engagement rings?

Absolutely, sapphires, emeralds, and other precious gems make exquisite, meaningful centre stones. We adore colour, it brings a poetic depth to your love story. We will guide you on durability and care to ensure it lasts beautifully.

What quality standards do you follow?

Only the finest craftsmanship and stones pass our hands. We review cut, colour, clarity, and carat, but also life, that special spark a stone carries that cannot be measured, only felt.

How long will my order take?

Made-to-order pieces typically take 3–6 weeks to craft. Custom creations take 4–8 weeks. Each piece is born with care, without haste, because luxury is never rushed.

Is shipping included?

For our South African clients, complimentary insured shipping is included with every order, your piece travels with care, security and ceremony.

If you have a special delivery request or timeline, we are always here to assist, love deserves precision in every detail.

Can I track my order?

Absolutely. Once dispatched, your tracking details will be shared so you can follow your order's journey home.

What if I need my piece sooner?

We will always try our best to accommodate special timelines. Please contact us, and we’ll see if we can fast-track production, love stories don’t always follow schedules.

How do I place an order?

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept secure card payments, EFT/bank transfer, and approved payment gateways. For bespoke creations, a 60% deposit confirms your design and production, with the balance due upon completion, just before your jewel comes home to you.

Will I receive updates on my order?

Absolutely. You will be kept gently informed as your piece moves through design, setting, and final polish. We believe anticipation should feel magical, never uncertain.

Can I change my order once placed?

Small adjustments may be possible in the early stages. Once production has begun, changes may incur additional costs or, in some cases, may not be possible. We will always guide you with honesty and patience.

REFUNDS & RETURNS

What is your return policy?

Each piece is crafted especially for you. For this reason, made-to-order and custom jewellery pieces are non-refundable and cannot be returned. We honour the promise that every bespoke piece is designed uniquely for its wearer, your story, your stone, your forever.

Do you offer refunds?

Due to the personalised nature of our pieces, refunds are not available once production has commenced. If a rare issue arises with craftsmanship, we will always ensure it is resolved with fairness, integrity, and exceptional care.

What if my jewellery arrives damaged or incorrect?

In the unlikely event that something is amiss, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery. Our team will arrange an evaluation and remedy, your trust and your treasures are always protected.

Can I exchange my jewellery?

As each piece is made to order, exchanges are not typically possible. However, we are always here to assist with resizing, design adjustments, or future upgrades as your love story evolves.

Do you offer repairs under warranty?

Yes, craft is our legacy, and quality is our promise. We offer a workmanship warranty and will gladly inspect and repair pieces that show any sign of manufacturing concerns. Damage caused by wear will be lovingly restored at a quoted cost.
